Mini Cooper

I had a chance to drive my friend's Mini Cooper for a couple of weeks. An amazing car !

for having such a short wheelbase, it was able to very comfortably fit my 6'1" frame easily.

Note how the front and rear wheels are about as close to the bumpers as they ever could be. That makes this small car feel like a big one , from the inside view. ( which is the view that counts as you spend almost 

all of your time behind the wheel. )

Supercharged, 5 speed, this thing is FAST, and it is built by BMW. Quality Equipment, Mein Herr ! 

AND IT'S A CONVERTIBLE !  Love it, what a great car. 

Surprisingly LARGE interior !  Great Gauges, shifter, etc.

Polished Aluminum and stainless steel

So many motorcyle parts are made of aluminum, brass, stainless steel, and plastic.
A lot of these just look great when polished. Polished aluminum looks some time better than good triple plated chrome does. I polished some of my parts and had a friend do a whole lot more of them.

Ebay has the how-to polishing DVD set from Eastwood, the auto accessories vendor. I grabbed them and I like them. They walk you through the polishing process from getting the equipment and compounds all the way to the finished product. Recommended. Eastwood is not cheap, but they offer good values and know their stuff, in my opinion.

Restarting this blog.

I am going to be posting on this blog again, it has lain fallow for about 7 (!!) years, it was sort of forgotten.

Realizing that I have so many pics of Harley Davidson parts ( mainly Shovelhead era ), I wanted to at least post the pics that I have.

Almost all of these have been sold and gone, so none of these are for sale unless noted as such.

Here is one good looking FatBoy type front end. Performance Machine disc brakes , fatboy tins, wide glide type front end, purple fender. Yes, yes. good stuff. sold it to a guy in Alabama.
